Eid☪, or more properly, Eid al-Fitr☪, is an important Muslim religious holiday celebrated in the Islamic world which marks the end of Ramadan – the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is also the only day when Muslims aren’t permitted to fast. The Prophet Muhammad commemorated Eid☪ after he migrated from Mecca🕌 to Medina. As per certain traditions, Muhammad arrived in Medina before the spread of Islam☪ and found people celebrating 2 days. He asked the people about the days and they told him that they were days of fun and recreation. He then said that Allah has fixed 2days instead of these which are better: Eid al-Fitr☪ and Eid al-Adha☪. Both these festivals have become occasions to show thanks to Allah and to give alms to the poor.
